There was a movie released way back in 1991 called 'Yaara Diladara'. I don't know anyone who remembers having seen the movie, and the movie was released around the time that I was in college, and I never got a chance to see it, so I don't know the story. The movie did not do anything great, but it left behind 1 song (and to a lesser extent another one) that are very very popular now (in remixed form). For the record, the movie 'Yaara Dildara' starred Asif Sheikh, Rohini Hattangadi, Ruchika Pandey, Amjad Khan and Kader Khan. It was produced & directed by the the Mirza brothers, and had music by Jatin Lalit. Lyrics were by Majrooh Sultanpur and the lead singers were Udit Narayan, Kavita Krishnamurty.
The song has had a fabulous remix, being released by DJ Suketu, and that made it extremely popular. It is now played in clubs and many other places, although most people would not know the name of the movie ! In addition to this song, there was another song from the same movie called 'Tumhi Hamari Ho Manzil My Love' that has also had a recent re-mix released.
I know this song since 1991. I had liked this song long before it was remixed. I remember the heroine in the song singing it over the phone. The movie was itself a total flop but this song was lovely. Before the remix i heard this song once when i was traveling on a bus and they had this old cassette with them. Truly a memorable song!
it was melody by jatin-lalit.it was lovely song. i am listening this song since my school days.i didn't know the details at that time. it refreshes my mood.
